Standing on Today

Hello

I’m Lanie

“Lanie’s poetry transcends her youth and has meaning for all ages. I was extremely impressed with the maturity of the messages by someone so young.”

An Excerpt

“With all the struggles of our everyday lives, I know it’s so hard. We are all so busy. Just maybe if we all worked together a little more and loved ourselves a pinch more, our lives could change.

We could work harder, get stronger, become wiser and not only reach our goals, but exceed them.

I’m writing this as a teammate, a student. Not the coach or the teacher because I’m still learning. I’m not a master or a professional at this, but I want to share what I know and what I’m going through to relate with you.

It’s so easy to compare yourselves to one another and treat life as a race; I do it myself. Life isn’t a race where every man is for themselves, but a relay race, where we are all working together to win.”

Lanie Breiten is an active 13-year-old who loves to be inspired and inspire others—especially through her writing. Since she was able to put together a sentence, Lanie has had a goal to publish her first book by the age of 13.

She is a vibrant teenager with many layers to her identity. She loves sports, such as karate, basketball, swimming, lacrosse, and anything that suggests girl power. “I love spending almost every summer day at the beach and cold nights by the fire.”

“My family and friends are such a huge part of my life and I don’t know what I would do without them! I’m always looking for a new goal to reach for and achieve.”
